Dr. Gregory Dussor, PhD, is a Professor and Department Head of Neuroscience at The University of Texas at Dallas. The focus of his laboratory is on mechanisms of activation and sensitization of peripheral nociceptors innervating the cranial meninges with a goal of understanding how these neurons contribute to the pain phase of migraine attacks. Using several preclinical models, his group has identified and studied numerous targets within this afferent nociceptive system.

He has published over 145 peer-reviewed research articles, he has served on the editorial boards of headache and pain journals, and he has served in service roles in both headache and pain-focused scientific societies.
