Gregoris Grimbizis PhD

Professor Grigoris F Grimbizis, M.D., Ph.D. works at the 1st Dept of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Medical School, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He received his Medical Degree in 1984, graduated as an obstetrician-gynecologist in 1993 and, did his PhD at the same University in 1996 on the use of GnRH analogs in the treatment of endometrial hyperplasia. Afterwards, he worked as a post-graduate fellow in infertility and endoscopic surgery at the Centre for Reproductive Medicine of the Free University of Brussels. His research and clinical interests include gynecological endoscopy and reproductive medicine and he has published more than 60 papers in these fields. He is an elected member of the Executive Committees of the Hellenic Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Hellenic Society of Endoscopic Surgery, advisory board member of ESGE and past member of the Executive Committee of the Hellenic Society of Reproductive Medicine. Member of ESHRE since 1991, he is an elected member of the Committee of the National Representatives for Greek Clinicians, first deputy of the SIG on reproductive surgery since 2011 and serves on the Executive Committee of ESHRE as of 2013. He worked as scientific coordinator in the development of the new ESHRE / ESGE classification of female genital anomalies and he is participating in the ECRES Steering Committee of ESHRE.
