Grayson H. Wheatley Iii, MD, FACS

Grayson H. Wheatley, III, MD, FACS, an internationally-recognized leader in aortic surgery and endovascular therapies, has been appointed Director of Aortic and Endovascular Surgery, and Associate Professor of Surgery at Temple University School of Medicine.

Dr. Wheatley comes to Temple from the Arizona Heart Institute and Hospital in Phoenix where he was an attending cardiovascular and endovascular surgeon. Dr. Wheatley's clinical and research interests include aortic and endovascular surgery; transcatheter valve replacement; minimally invasive cardiovascular surgery; physician education and training; innovative aortic therapies and endovascular technologies; and new techniques, quality and safety in endovascular interventions. His current research focuses on aortic stent-graft devices, investigations of autologous bone marrow cells in chronic limb ischemia, and embolic protection systems.
