Dr. Grace I. L. Caskie, Ph.D., is a Professor and Associate Chair in the Department of Education and Human Services at Lehigh University’s College of Education in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where she also serves as the faculty coordinator for counseling program admissions. Dr. Caskie’s academic training is in quantitative psychology, earning her M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her B.A. (with a minor in mathematics) from Millersville University of Pennsylvania.
Her research broadly centers on cognition, cognitive development, aging, and statistical methodology, with a particular focus on how ageist attitudes and training experiences influence psychology trainees’ work with older adults. She has collaborated widely on research spanning educational measurement, predictors of academic performance, and quantitative methods.
In recognition of her excellence in teaching and scholarship, Dr. Caskie has received awards, including the Perry A. Zirkel Award for Distinguished Teaching in Education and the Mather Institute Innovative Research on Aging Award for her work on ageism and mental health training.
