Dr Govindan Raghuraman has been serving as associate medical director at Birmingham’s Heartlands Hospital since the beginning of the year in a temporary capacity but that role has now been made permanent.
Having moved to the UK from India in 1995 Dr Raghuraman has worked for the Trust since 2002 as a consultant specialising in intensive care and anesthesia and his management career has also seen him serve as clinical director for critical care and anesthesia.
The 47-year-old married father-of-two from Solihull speaks with passion about his career with Heartlands hospital and his pride at working his way to a senior management position.
