Dr G. S. Pal has more than three decades of dental practice experience from both public and private sectors. He completed his DDS from the University of Calcutta and a Master of Science in Pedodontics from the University of Iowa. He then became a clinical instructor at Georgetown University Dental School, Department of Pedodontics (1968-1969) and later an associate professor at Howard University School of Dentistry (1978-1981). Dr. Pal established his family dental practice in Annandale, Virginia in 1974.
Dr. Pal has been a co-founder of many community political, professional and cultural organizations. Due to his active involvement, and civic-mindedness, he has received countless awards and recognitions.

Among which, President Reagan appointed Dr. Pal to the Presidential Committee of the National Medal of Science. Under the Bush-Quayle administration, he was appointed a member of the Board of Regents, Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences. He currently sits on the Board and regulates the practice of dentistry and dental hygiene in Virginia.
"He has a commitment to community service, including an interest in the general health and well-being of fellow Virginians" - Governor Gilmore (R-VA) in 1999 after Dr. Pal was appointed to the Virginia Board of Dentistry.
