Goetz M. Richter MD, PhD

Dr. Richter is Professor of Radiology at Heidelberg University in Heidelberg, Germany and is Deputy Chief of the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at Heidelberg University Hospital. Dr. Richter is a co-founder of IMED, which became CeloNova BioSciences, Inc. in October of 2005. He is widely recognized as one of the pioneers in the development of stent technology, and was one of the first physicians to place a stent in a human being. He was one of the Principal Investigators and played a key role in the development and the clinical trials of the Palmaz Stent. A noted author and lecturer, Dr. Richter is regarded as one of the leading interventional radiologists in the world.
