Gloria Wintermann PhD

Gloria-Beatrice Wintermann studied in Dresden and did her doctorate in the area of ​​neural processing of fear odors in patients with panic disorder. She has spent a long time researching endocrinological stress reactivity in patients with anxiety and mood disorders. One of her main areas of interest is the investigation of psychological comorbidities, particularly trauma-related disorders, in chronically critically ill patients and their relatives after ICU treatment. Her current research interest lies in psychodermatology. She researches psychosocial influencing factors and the influence of subjective body image on the course of treatment in patients with psoriasis and neurodermatitis. In this context, she works as a psychological psychotherapist in consultation service in dermatology.
