Glenn F. Pierce BA, MD, PhD

Dr. Glenn Pierce is currently an independent consultant, entrepreneur-in-residence at Third Rock Ventures and serves on the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) and WFHUSA Board of Directors and the National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF) (US) Medical and Scientific Advisory Council. Glenn is also a director of Voyager Therapeutics and Global Blood Therapeutics, two publicly held biotechnology companies.

Glenn retired from Biogen in 2014 as senior vice president of Hematology, Cell and Gene Therapies. Dr. Pierce has 30 years’ experience in biotechnology research and development.He received an M.D. and a Ph.D. in Immunology, both from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio and did his postgraduate training in pathology and hematology research at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
