Glenda J.L. Battey, PhD, is Program Director of High Reliability for Providence St. Joseph Health, overseeing the program "Caring Reliably," which supports enterprise-wide projects focused on advancing high-reliability care. This program has enabled Providence St. Joseph Health to decrease patient and caregiver harm and increase positive patient experience and caregiver engagement.
Dr. Battey has been a professor, health researcher, mental health therapist, and wilderness therapist, and she has presented at Press Ganey/HPI Safety Summits and the Air Force Medical Society annual meeting. She holds a BS in biopsychology and community health from Tufts University, a master's in outdoor adventure education from the University of Northern Colorado, and a PhD in exercise and sports psychology emphasizing experiential education from Oregon State University.
