Giuseppe Recchi

Giuseppe Recchi is the CEO of Affidea Group, the leading pan-European provider of diagnostic imaging, outpatient and cancer care services, which operates 246 healthcare centres in 16 countries, working with more than 7,500 professionals. From 2014 to 2017, Giuseppe was Executive Chairman of Telecom Italia and Chairman of Tim Foundation, active on youth’s disabilities and art and cultural philanthropy. He was Chairman of the Board of Eni SpA from 2011 to 2014.

Since 1999, he spent 12 years in GE where he held several managerial positions in the US and in Europe. Giuseppe served as CEO of GE Capital Structure Finance Italia and Managing Director for M&A in EMEA. Until 2011 he was President and CEO of GE South Europe. Up until 1999, he was an entrepreneur at Recchi SpA, a general contractor active in 25 countries in the constructions of high-tech public infrastructure, spending much of his professional life in the US, Africa and Latin America.

He is currently member of the Board of Director of UnipolSai Assicurazioni SpA and of Italian Institute of Technology. He was a member of the Board of Directors of Exor SpA, the European Advisory Board of Blackstone, the Board of Directors on INWIT SpA (mobile telecom Tower company), the Massachusetts Institute of Technology EI advisory Board, the Italian corporate Governance Committee, member of the Board of Assonime (Italian Joint Stock Companies) as well as Co-Chair of the Task Force on Improving Transparency and Anti-Corruption of the B20, from 2012 to 2014. In 2017, Giuseppe Recchi was awarded the title of ‘Cavaliere del Lavoro’ (Knight to Order of Labour), by decree of the President of the Italian Republic. He is also a former visiting professor of Economics at the University of Turin. He holds a BSc in Engineering from the Polytechnic of Turin
