Giuseppe Kito Fusai qualified with honors in 1987 at the University of Milan, Italy. He began his training in General Surgery in Italy and in 1992 he was awarded a Master of Surgery (MS) from the University of Parma. He moved to the UK in 1995 and in 1996 became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He specialized in Hepato-pancreato-biliary Surgery and Liver Transplant and since 1999 he has worked in several centers of excellence in the UK and abroad, including King’s College Hospital in London and Nagoya University Hospital in Japan.

Professor Fusai is a Consultant Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) Surgeon in the Liver Units at the Royal Free Hospital and at the Wellington Hospital in London as well as Honorary Senior Lecturer at UCL. His primary clinical and academic interest is in pancreatic cancer, liver metastases, and cholangiocarcinoma and in the modalities to treat patients with advanced disease, including vascular reconstruction. He is extensively trained in General and Laparoscopic Surgery including the treatment of benign conditions, such as gallstones and pancreatitis.
