Dr. Gita Suneja is associate professor in the departments of radiation oncology and global health at Duke University. Her clinical specialties include the treatment of breast and gynecologic malignancies. Her research program is focused on health services research, access to cancer care and patient outcomes. She has a particular interest in disparities in cancer treatment and outcomes of HIV-infected cancer patients, both in the United States and Botswana.

Dr. Suneja graduated from the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and completed her residency training in radiation oncology at the University of Pennsylvania, where she served as chief resident. Dr. Suneja then pursued a master's degree in health policy research from the University of Pennsylvania, where she was a fellow in the Leonard Davis Institute for Health Economics. She has worked collaboratively with investigators at the National Cancer Institute and American Cancer Society.
