Giovanni Olivi MD, DDS

Dr. Giovanni Olivi is a native of Rome, Italy, where he graduated cum laude in Medicine and Surgery (MD) and in Dentistry (DDS). In 2002, Giovanni achieved the postgraduate diploma in” laser dentistry” at the University of Florence; He achieved the laser certification from ISLD (2004), the Advanced Proficiency, and the Master status from the Academy of Laser Dentistry (2006-2009). He is the current president of the International Academy of Innovative Dentistry.

Giovanni Olivi is the 2007 recipient of the “Leon Goldman Award” for clinical excellence from the Academy of Laser Dentistry. He is the Active member and scientific coordinator of the Italian Academy of MicroDentistry (AIOM), an active member of the Italian Society of Endodontics (SIE), and of the European Academy of Paediatric Dentistry (EAPD). He lectures on laser dentistry topics worldwide. Giovanni Olivi is a professor and scientific Coordinator of the ”Laser Dentistry” proficiency and master courses at the Catholic University of Rome and is also cooperating with several Universities worldwide for laser education.

Dr Olivi is author of over 60 peer-reviewed articles and several chapters textbooks on dentistry topics, and the author of the books “Laser in Dental Traumatology” (Ed.Martina, in italian; 2010); of “Pediatric Laser Dentistry: a user’s guide” (Quintessence Pub., in english; 2011); of the books “Laser in Restorative Dentistry: a practical guide” (Springer, in english; 2015); “Laser in Endodontics: scientific background and clinical applications” (Springer, in english; 2016) and its italian edition ”Laser in Endodonzia: ricerca e clinica” (Tueor Servizi; 2017). Giovanni Olivi maintains his private practice in Endodontics, Restorative, and Esthetic Dentistry in Rome, Italy.
