Giovanni Dapri is the Head of the Minimally Invasive General & Oncologic Surgery Center at Humanitas Gavazzeni University Hospital of Bergamo (Italy). He is a Professor of Human Anatomy at the University of Mons (Belgium) and a Professor of Digestive Surgery at the University of Brussels (Belgium).
He is the Founder and Director of the International School Reduced Scar Laparoscopy. He is the Course Chair of the different Laparoscopic Courses (Single-Incision, Bariatric Surgery, Colorectal Surgery, and Abdominal Wall Surgery).
In his academic career, he has edited 5 surgical books, published more than 170 scientific publications, and more than 80 book chapters.
During International and National Congresses, he has performed more than 100 laparoscopic procedures in front of an audience in foreign countries and presented more than 470 oral presentations.
He invented in 2008 an instrument set to operate in Single-Incision Laparoscopy, and in 2013 an instrument set to perform TransAnal Minimally Invasive Surgery.
