Giovanni Capranico

Giovanni Capranico is currently a Professor of Molecular Biology in the Department of Pharmacy and Biotechnology, University of Bologna, Italy. He received his "Laurea" degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Perugia in 1982. He was a Fellow at the National Cancer Institute of Milan from 1983 to 1987 and a Guest Researcher for two years at the Laboratory of Molecular Pharmacology, NCI, NIH, Bethesda, MD, USA. In 1990, he returned to Italy and was appointed as a Senior Investigator at the National Cancer Institute, Milan. In 1998, he moved to the University of Bologna as an Associate Professor, where he was appointed as a Full Professor in 2006. His research has been supported by several grants from the “ Italian Association for Cancer Research” (AIRC), Milan.
