Gina L. Bruns has experience working with adults and adolescents who are facing transitions in their life. She believes that there is a great deal of importance in creating a safe space where a client feels comfortable exploring their emotional and cognitive reactions to life's stressors. She attempts to observe relational patterns and the ways in which they repeat throughout the course of one's life. Using an integrated approach, she works to help clients manage their emotional experience through the use of interventions that are best suited to a client's current needs and desires. She has been trained in Humanistic, Psychodynamic, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (among other modalities), and she draws upon each of these orientations in her work. She has experience working with late adolescents and adults. She specializes in adjustment issues, college students, body image concerns, and sexual identity.
