Dr. Gila graduated with honors from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in 1991. After first completing a general practice residency at the VA Hospital in West Los Angeles, she completed her pediatric specialty training at the Children's Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. Gila has been in private practice in Marin since 1997 and is an active member of the dental community. She has served on the Board of the Marin County Dental Society and has also served as a Basic Life Support Instructor for its member dentists. Dr. Gila currently serves as Vice-President on the Executive Committee of the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry (CSPD), a professional organization serving 600+ member pediatric dentists and advocating for the oral health of all children. Her 4-year term will culminate in her ascension to President of the organization in 2022.
