Gideon Gross BSc, MSc, PhD

Prof. Gross directs the Immunology Laboratory at MIGAL – Galilee Research Institute in Kiryat Shmona and is an associate professor in the Faculty of Sciences and Technology at Tel-Hai College in the Upper Galilee. Gidi obtained his B.Sc. degree from the Israeli Open University and then moved to the Weizmann Institute of Science where he obtained his M.Sc. in Prof David Givol lab and Ph.D. degrees at Eshhar’s lab. in Department of Chemical Immunology.

Following postdoctoral research at the Surgery Branch National Cancer Institute with Dr Rosenberg and at the Lab. of Molecular Biology of the MRC in Cambridge, UK, he established his own research Lab in MIGAL. The Lab focuses on the development of new gene-based approaches for immunotherapy and on basic issues concerning antigen presentation to the immune system. In 2005-2010 Gidi served as head of the Biotechnology Department at the College, and during 2010-2014 he served as the Dean. He is currently on sabbatical with Prof. Eshhar) at the Laboratory for Cancer Immunotherapy at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center.
