Gianvito Martino MD

Gianvito Martino received his Medical Degree in 1987 from the University of Pavia (Italy) where he completed his residency in Neurology in 1991. In 1990, he was a Visiting Scientist at the Department of Neurology of the Karolinska Institute (Stockholm, Sweden) and, from 1991 to 1992, he held the position of Research Associate at the Department of Neurology of the University of Chicago (Chicago, IL, USA). Since 1992, he works first as a Senior Scientist and then as Director of the Neuroimmunology Unit of IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele where, from 2008 to 2016, he has also been the director of the overall Division of Neuroscience. Since 2016 Gianvito Martino is the Scientific Director of IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele.
