Dr Gianluigi Patelli, with Professor Pacella, introduced the Transperineal Interstitial Laser Ablation (TPLA) for the treatment of Benign Prostatic hyperplasia and published the first case study in the Journal of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology (JCVIR).
