Gianluca Gaidano MD, PhD

Gianluca Gaidano is a Professor of Hematology at the Medical School of the Amedeo Avogadro University of Eastern Piedmont in Novara, Italy. He is also the Director of the Division of Hematology of the Academic Hospital ‘Maggiore della Carita di Novara’. He received his MD and PhD from the University of Turin, Italy, and became a specialist in internal medicine and hematology. From 1990 to 1994, he attended Columbia University in New York, USA, where he trained in molecular hematology. He is the former President of the Italian Society of Experimental Hematology. He has served on the European Hematology Association (EHA) Scientific Programme Committee and is serving on the Fellowship and Grant Committee of EHA. He is currently a board member of the Italian Lymphoma Foundation (FIL) and of the GIMEMA working party on chronic lymphoproliferative disorders. He has published and authored over 400 scientific articles.
