Giampaolo Siena PhD

Dr. Giampaolo Siena graduated in 2004, with honors, in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Florence, and then specialized in 2009, with honors, in Urology at the same University. In 2008 he did an internship in Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery at Lahey Clinic and Medical Center, Boston, USA. During his professional career, in 2011 he served at the Le Scotte Hospital in Siena as Medical Director, responsible for Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery. Since 2011 he has been a Tutor of Laparoscopic Surgery at the prestigious European School of Urology and in 2018 he obtained the qualification as a second level University Professor. In 2016 he obtained a PhD in Robotic Surgery in Kidney Transplantation and Removal at the University of Florence. He is the author of over 2000 urological surgery and author and co-author of over 200 articles, abstracts, videos, and chapters published in indexed journals and treatises on surgery. He has participated in the main national and international scientific congresses as a speaker, moderator, and operator of live surgery. He currently works as Medical Director at the Urological Clinic, Careggi University Hospital, and the Villa Donatello Nursing Home in Florence.
