Giampaolo Gini MD

Giamaolo Gini is a general ophthalmic surgeon with a specific interest in both medical and surgical retina. His work combines high quality results as well as high output. He has lectured extensively as invited speaker at over 400 meetings throughout the world. His innovative surgical techniques have received recognition in several occasions. He is particularly fond of the invitation received by the Government of South Africa to lecture on the surgical techniques in the treatment of ocular trauma and by the American Academy of Ophthalmology on the surgical treatment of post0op endophthalmitis.
He has been active in the promoting of surgical quality in ophthalmology both by serving as faculty member at the European Vitreo Retinal Training School as well as on the Board of the European Vitreo Retinal Society of which he is presently Vice-President.
