Ghassem Ansari, D.D.S., M.Sc, Ph.D., A.P.P.D., is the director of the Pediatric Dentistry Residency Program and health sciences clinical professor (interim) at the UCLA School of Dentistry, joining the faculty in 2024. Dr. Ansari is known for his expertise in administration, leadership, and professionalism, holding leadership positions in local, state, and national oral health organizations. He served as president and vice president of the IADR Iranian Division and as an editorial member of the International Journal of Pediatric Dentistry since 2014. He had served as the editor-in-chief of two Iranian journals, J Dent Sch and J Pediatr Dent, for over a decade, and as an examiner of the Dental Board of Pediatric Dentistry in Iran between 2008 and 2010. As a practitioner, Dr. Ansari established the first-ever dental sedation program in Iran at Beheshti University Dental School in 2007 and led the pediatric dentistry residency program in EUC Dubai between 2010 and 2014. Relocating to the U.S. two years ago, he was engaged in teaching dental students and residents in Florida.
