Gerson Peltz MD, MPH is Medical Director of Global Pharmacovigilance and Epidemiology at Bristol-Myers Squibb. Prior to joining BMS, he was Senior Medical Advisor of Eli Lilly and Co., Associate Tenured Professor of University of Texas at Brownsville, and Chair of the Department of Internal Medicine from the Brazilian National Institute of Cancer.
He received his medical degree from Souza Marques School of Medicine in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1983, and completed internal medicine training at the Ipanema Hospital. He earned his MPH from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston - School of Public Health and completed NIH-sponsored fellowship training in Health Disparities at the University of North Texas.
