Dr. Mauleon received his, MS, and Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago. During his Ph.D., he studied the complex and reciprocal interactions between cells and their chemical microenvironment in microfluidic platforms. Gerardo is currently a Postdoctoral Scholar at the Nelson lab and studies the relationship between EV secretion from single cells as a response to a chemical stimulus, ultimately creating a dose-response curve relating chemical stimulus to EV secretion.
