Geraldine Blavat BS

Geraldine Blavat is a senior sales and business development specialist with experience in medical, publishing and information technology industries. After her Parkinson’s diagnosis in 2015, she became active in a Parkinson’s disease support group for women and quickly began participating in research studies. A lifelong athlete, Miss Blavat’s focus in the PD community has been on helping newly diagnosed women adjust to their Parkinson’s diagnosis and be empowered to plan for the future, early in the course of the disease. In March 2016 Miss Blavat started a support group in Philadelphia for women with young onset PD. She received her BS in microbiology from Pennsylvania State University. Miss Blavat joined the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation’s Women and Parkinson’s Initiative in 2015 and Parkinson’s Advocates in Research program in 2016.
