D r Georges-Antoine de Boccard studied medicine at the University of Geneva. He completed his specialization in urology and obtained the titles of Specialist FMH in urology (Switzerland) in 1991, FEBU (European Board of Urology) in 1992 and Specialist FMH in surgical urology in 2004. From 1991, he is one of the precursors of laparoscopic surgery in urology and participated in 2003 in the introduction of robot-assisted surgery and the creation of the Clinique Generale-Beaulieu multidisciplinary center for laparoscopic robot-assisted surgery.

He developed several techniques of robot-assisted microsurgery by the Da Vinci® surgical robot, techniques he teaches at IRCAD (Strasbourg) and within the framework of the Geneva Foundation for Training and Medical Research (www.gfmer.ch ). He has presented them in numerous international congresses and has written chapters of books on the subject. In 2005, he co-founded the Center de la Reproduction Medically Assisted at the Clinique Generale-Beaulieu in which he practiced microsurgery of male fertility.
