Professor George Tadros pioneered a new model of Liaison Psychiatry that is known as RAID (Rapid Assessment and Interfaced Discharge). He established its academic infra structure and clinical pathways, which are now implemented in 27 NHS Trusts around the country. He established the National RAID Network that has more than 600 members to spread good clinical practice in Liaison Psychiatry. His model has been recommended for the commissioning of Liaison Psychiatry and used as the benchmark for good practice by the Faculty of Liaison Psychiatry. Professor Tadros is interested in the utilization of new technology in mental health. He has obtained £2 million grant from the innovation department to develop a new digital platform with predictive analytics to provide a new complete approach to mental health crisis.

Professor Tadros is leading research in cognitive impairment, dementia and mental illness in acute hospitals. He has been granted £250, 000 to examine the effect of cooled Haemodialysis on cognitive functions in patients who suffer with End Stage Chronic Kidney Disease. His ambition is to develop a national programme to improve dementia care in acute hospitals for patients from all cultures and heritages. Professor Tadros has been very active in developing and delivering multidisciplinary teaching courses including his new course 7D that has been approved by the West Midlands Deanery. He supervises PhD students searching the field of dementia and culture. He served as the Vice Chair of the Faculty of Old Age Psychiatry and as academic secretary. He is also a visiting professor of dementia care at Chester University. He is currently a consultant in Old Age Liaison Psychiatry and clinical director of Urgent Care at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Trust.
