George Skarpas MD, PhD

Dr. Giorgos Skarpas is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Nicosia Medical School and an internationally recognised orthopaedic surgeon with expertise in sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery, orthobiologics, and regenerative medicine. He is actively involved in clinical education, scientific research, and international training programs focused on advancing modern orthopaedic and regenerative therapies.

Professor Skarpas completed his postgraduate orthopaedic training at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and has developed a strong academic and clinical profile in minimally invasive orthopaedic procedures, joint preservation, cartilage repair, and biologic treatments for musculoskeletal disorders. His work integrates regenerative medicine approaches with evidence-based orthopaedic care, particularly in the treatment of sports injuries and degenerative joint conditions.

He is an active contributor to international scientific societies and educational initiatives in orthopaedics and regenerative medicine, regularly participating in global congresses, cadaveric surgical training programs, and multidisciplinary academic collaborations.
