George Schutte LLB, MBA

George Schutte, South African by nationality, has more than 25 year experience in the private hospital management industry- specifically in Hospital Management, Greenfield projects Commissioning, Strategic Planning, Feasibility Studies and Accreditation. He started his career at MLS BANK as Specialist Financing Consultant for the Hospital & Radiology Sector. George then joined Mediclinic in South Africa as a Hospital Director for 18 years, after which he served as a consultant for greenfield private hospitalprojects in South Africa and Namibia.

This experience equiped George to relocate to the UAE, where he served as CEO of various hospitals for a few of years, before joining VAMED as a project leader on the Hospital Operational aspect of VAMED’s projects in the Middle East; and also more recently in Thailand and Nepal. Currently George resides in Haikou, China, where he fulfils the function of OPERATIONAL Project Leader & Consultant for Pre- and Post-Commissioning for Chinese JV partner at the Unicare International Private Hospital, Haikou. Qualifications: George obtained a MBA [Cum Laude] from the University of Stellenbosch Business School in South Africa in 2004. He also qualified with a LLB law and a B Com Commercial degrees both from the University of Pretoria.
