George Ntaios MD, MSc, PhD, FESO

George Ntaios serves as Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Thessaly, Greece. He is a board-certified Internist with academic training and certification in stroke medicine, and practices in the Department of Medicine at Larissa University Hospital.

His main research interests focus on secondary stroke prevention and stroke prognosis. A co-chair of the ESO Guidelines Committee since May 2014, he is the leading author of the Standard Operating Procedure for the development of the ESO guidelines and has participated in several Guideline Documents of the European Stroke Organization.
