Dr. Theodore is a native of Boston and a graduate of both Harvard College and Harvard Medical School. He completed his residency at the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Residency Program. He served as the Chief Resident at the Massachusetts General Hospital and later completed a fellowship at the Brigham and Women's Hospital. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr. Theodore's interests include knee, ankle, and foot surgery, with a focus on sports-related injuries. He is a nationally recognized expert in the management of injuries in professional athletes and dancers, and he has treated some of the top athletes in the United States. Dr. Theodore is an expert in cartilage injuries, ligament injuries, and extracorporeal shockwave treatment. He has appeared on the Today Show, as well as various cable and local television programs. He has been featured in USA Today, The Boston Globe, The Boston Herald, Forbes Magazine, Wall Street Journal, Women's World, and National Public Radio.
