George G. Birdsong MD

George G. Birdsong, MD, is Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr Birdsong is involved in the cytopathology service at Grady Memorial Hospital, which runs three free-standing Fine Needle Aspiration clinics each week in addition to processing a substantial number of atypical Pap tests. He is also working toward optimizing the use of the Laboratory Information System and improving the quality assurance procedures in the pathology department. Dr Birdsong is a past President of the American Society of Cytopathology and is a member of Diagnostic Intelligence and Health Information Technology Committee and Pathology Electronic Reporting Task Force of College of American Pathologists.
