George G. A. Pujalte MD, FACSM, FAMSSM, FAAFP

George G. A. Pujalte, M.D., F.A.C.S.M., is a sports medicine physician and researcher, board-certified in both Sports Medicine and Family Medicine. Dr. Pujalte focuses on treating chronic and acute illnesses and injuries in athletes and active individuals, educating them on prevention, and collaborating with them in terms of "return to play" decisions after these conditions. In addition to his clinical activities, Dr. Pujalte is active in the education of college and medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as furthering research in Sports Medicine and Family Medicine. Dr. Pujalte has a personal interest in martial arts and sports psychology. He is one of the team physicians for the national USA Taekwondo team and travels with them regularly. He has written and presented numerous times on topics depicting the interaction of mental health and physical activity.
