George Bwire MSc

George is a microbiologist and biomedical research scientist with a background in medical microbiology and immunology. In the past five years, George has conducted a number of research in the field of infectious diseases, i.e., Malaria, HIV/AIDS, antimicrobial resistance, and stewardship, among others, and disseminated his research work widely in more than 30 international peer-reviewed journals, half of them with first or last author involving human subjects. Currently, George is pursuing his Ph.D. studies at KU Leuven with a focus on HIV drug resistance in Tanzania.
