George A. Kenna is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior (Research) at the Center for Alcohol and Addiction Studies (CAAS) at Brown University (ret. June 30, 2016), an Investigational Pharmacist at Miriam Hospital in Providence, Clinical Pharmacist at Westerly Hospital in Westerly RI (ret. Nov 26, 2018), and until 2012 a Senior Scientific Advisor to the Tufts Health Care Institute Program on Opioid Risk Management in Boston, MA. In addition to being a member of the Core and training faculty at CAAS, He is a member of the Committee for Commencement Speakers at Brown and a member of the Scientific Review Panel AA3 for the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism. While continuing my practice as a Clinical Pharmacist, He received both a Master of Arts in 2001 and a Doctorate in Experimental Psychology in 2003 from the University of Rhode Island (URI).

The pillars of my graduate education were Physiological Psychology, Applied Methods, and Statistics (multivariate and univariate). He subsequently spent 4 years as a Postdoctoral fellow at Brown University performing clinical trials for alcohol dependence and was appointed an Assistant Professor in 2007.
