Geoffrey Winston Abbott MS, PhD

Dr. Abbott received his Bachelor’s degree with Honors in Zoology from the University of Durham, the UK in 1991, and a Master’s with Distinction in Molecular Pathology from the University of Leicester, the UK in 1993. He received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of London in 1997, followed by postdoctoral training at Yale University. He joined Cornell University Medical School in 2001, becoming Professor with tenure there in 2011. Dr. Abbott then moved to University of California, Irvine, where he currently holds the position of Professor with tenure and Chair of the College of Health Sciences Academic Senate.
