Gening Jiang MD

Gening Jiang is a Professor of Surgery and Doctoral Supervisor at Tongji University. He has served as the Chief of the Department of Thoracic Surgery of Shanghai Pulmonary Hospital since 2004. Prof. Jiang received his Bachelor of Medicine from Shanghai Second Medical University (now Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine) in1982. He was a visiting scholar at Mayo Clinic and Barnes-Jewish Hospital from 1999 to 2000.

Prof. Jiang is a recognized expert in the diagnosis and surgical treatments for pulmonary, esophageal, and mediastinal tumors. He is also specialized in Thoracoscopic Surgeries, Tracheal or Bronchial Stent Placement, Lung Volume Reduction, etc. He is the recipient of numerous awards for outstanding achievements in thoracic surgery, including the First Prize of National Award for Science and Technology, Shanghai Municipal Award for Medical Leading Scientist, and Shanghai Municipal Award for Science and Technology, etc.

Gening Jiang has been active and held leadership positions in numerous organizations. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) and a member of the American College of Thoracic Surgery (AATS). Besides, He is Vice President of the Endoscopic Professional Technique Committee for Cardio-thoracic Surgery, Ministry of Health and President of Shanghai Medical Society for Thoracic Surgery, as well as a Member of the Clinical Guideline Committee, Ministry of Health and Chinese Society for Cardiovascular Surgery, etc.

Gening Jiang serves as Associate Editor for the Chinese Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, Editorial Board of Chinese Journal of Clinical Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, and Chinese Journal of Organ Transplantation. He is the author of more than 125 articles in SCI-indexed journals, including J Thorac Cardiovasc Surg, J Clin Oncol, Ann Thorac Surg, etc.
