Genesis C. Rivera MD

Dr. Genesis C. Rivera, MD is a Professor of Pediatrics and Medical Humanities at the College of Medicine of New Era University, Quezon City, Philippines and concurrently the Executive Director of the Center for Medical and Allied Health Sciences of the same university. He was president of the Philippine Pediatric Society from 2010 to 2012. Dr. Rivera served as the Department Manager for Training and Research at the Philippine Children’s Medical Center and Head of the Poison Center at the Dr. Fe del Mundo Medical Center. He authored the chapter on Childhood Poisoning for the three editions of the Philippine Textbook of Pediatrics and Child Health as well as the Philippine Pediatric Society Handbook on Childhood Poisoning. He was a former faculty member at Far Eastern University Institute of Medicine and St. Luke’s College of Medicine.
