Gaute Tomas Einevoll MTech, PhD

Gaute Einevoll is a professor of physics at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences and the University of Oslo. He took his Ph.D. in condensed matter physics in 1991 and got introduced to neuroscience during a period as a researcher at UC San Diego from 1991 to 1994. He has been working in computational neuroscience ever since, first at the University of Tromsø and since 1996 at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences at Ås outside Oslo.

He has been a co-leader of the Norwegian node of the International Neuroinformatics Coordinating Facility (INCF) since 2007 and has been a partner in the EU Human Brain Project since its start in 2013. He is active in the popularization of science and is currently producing the podcast “Vett og vitenskap med Gaute Einevoll”.
