Gary William Gibbons MD, FACS

Dr. Gary William Gibbons graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Maine (3yrs) in 1967 and received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine in 1971. The surgical residency was completed at the Harvard Surgical Service, Boston City/New England Deaconess Hospital in 1976.

Dr. Gibbons joined Deaconess Hospital/Joslin Clinic practicing Vascular Surgery. His career focused on advancing the treatment of diabetic patients with ischemic lower extremity wounds. He was one of the pioneers of the Dorsalis Pedis Bypass and developed many of the currently used multidisciplinary algorithms for limb salvage.
