Gary Ho, MD, Ph.D., is a board-certified neurologist with subspecialty expertise in Movement Disorders, including Parkinson’s Disease, tremors, Lewy Body Dementia, atypical parkinsonian syndromes, ataxia, dystonia, and other related conditions. Dr. Ho received his MD and Ph.D. degrees from Johns Hopkins. He completed his general neurology residency and movement disorders fellowship at the Harvard Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital program. Dr. Ho’s research uses cell culture and mouse models to investigate the potential of modifying proteins by fatty acids (palmitoylation) in preventing the accumulation of synuclein, a protein closely associated with Parkinson’s disease and other synucleinopathies. His research is funded by the NIH-National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke. Dr. Ho is an Instructor in Neurology at Harvard Medical School.
