Dr. Gary Hsich is a board-certified pediatric neurologist at the Cleveland Clinic, where he specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of complex neurological disorders affecting children and adolescents. As part of the Center for Pediatric Neurosciences, Dr. Hsich has extensive expertise in leukodystrophies, lysosomal storage disorders, metabolic neurological diseases, seizures, headaches, and other rare pediatric neurological conditions.

Dr. Hsich earned his medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 1996 before completing pediatric residency training at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He later pursued advanced fellowship training at Boston Children's Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, and the Kennedy Krieger Institute, where he focused on child neurology, neurogenetics, and neurological research.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Hsich has contributed extensively to neurological research and innovation. He received a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Postdoctoral Fellowship and is a co-inventor of a patented diagnostic method involving the detection of cerebrospinal fluid biomarkers for Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease. His academic and clinical interests include pediatric neurogenetic disorders, white matter diseases, pseudotumor cerebri, and complex developmental neurological conditions.
