Gary Chaimowitz MB ChB, FRCP, MBA

Dr. Chaimowitz is a Certified Physician Executive through the American College of Physicians and has his MBA from the University of Toronto. He is vice-chair of the Psychiatry Section of the Ontario Medical Association and past president of the Ontario Psychiatric Association. He chairs the Forensic Psychiatry Specialty Committee of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and has been granted Forensic Psychiatry Founder Status. He is a past president of the Medical Staff Association of St Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, is on the board of the International Association of Forensic Mental Health Services, and on the council of the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law. He is co-chair of the Ontario Forensic Directors Group, Distinguished Fellow of the Canadian Psychiatric Association and American Psychiatric Association, member of the Ontario and Nunavut Review Board, and vice-chair of the Consent and Capacity Board.
