Garima Thakur, PhD, is a Staff Engineer/Manager at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, where she specializes in downstream process development for gene therapy applications. Her work focuses on rAAV and other viral vectors within the Viral Production Core, supporting preclinical manufacturing and advancing innovative therapeutic platforms.

Before her current role, Dr. Thakur served as a Process Development Engineer III/Associate Manager at Regeneron, contributing to process optimization and scale-up for viral vector production. Earlier in her career, she worked as a Diligence Associate at Exiger in Hong Kong, where she conducted research and authored due diligence reports for major investment banks, focusing on reputational and financial risk.

Dr. Thakur earned her PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, where her research centered on advanced chemical and biochemical engineering processes. She brings a strong foundation in engineering, combined with industry experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing and risk analysis.
