Gale L. Tang, M.D., F.A.C.S., is a board-certified vascular surgeon, with a special interest in endovascular management of aortic disease and critical limb ischemia. Dr. Tang practices at the Veterans Administration Puget Sound Health Care System and member of the University of Washington Vascular Surgery Division.

Dr. Tang earned her M.D. from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She completed her general surgery residency at University of California, San Francisco and her vascular surgery fellowship at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.

Her clinical interests include endovascular therapy for thoracic and abdominal aortic disease, open and nonoperative management of critical limb ischemia, arterial imaging and dialysis access. Her research interests include the genetic and molecular mechanisms controlling collateralization in response to ischemia, collateral artery development in response to ischemia, angiogenesis, arteriogenesis and arterial imaging in small animal models.
