Gail Toshie Tominaga MD, FACS

Dr. Gail T. Tominaga has been a practicing Trauma Surgeon, Surgical Critical Care specialist, and Acute Care Surgeon at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla in La Jolla, California for the past 15 years. Prior to this she was the Trauma Medical Director at the Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, and helped their program attain ACS trauma site verification. She has been an active member of the ACS Committee on Trauma and was the lead physician for the ACS TQIP Palliative Care best practice guidelines and the ACS TQIP Trauma Imaging best practice guidelines. She is currently on the American College of Surgeons Board of Governors as a Governor-at-Large representing the Fellows in the San Diego Chapter. She is also active in the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma, Pacific Coast Surgical Association, Southwest Surgical Congress, Western Surgical Association, and Society of Critical Care Medicine. She is an ad hoc reviewer for the American Journal of Surgery, JAMA Surgery, and Injury.
