Gail M. Horvath MSN, RN, CNOR, CRCST

Ms. Gail Horvath is a Patient Safety Analyst/Consultant and works with the ECRI Institute Patient Safety Organization and Insight Assessment Services. Gail has over 30 years of experience in Acute Care, including critical care and surgical nursing, Quality, Risk and Patient Safety. Before coming to ECRI Institute, Gail was the perioperative educator for a level one trauma center. She has also worked as the Clinical Director for Perioperative Services as well as a system manager for perioperative business services in a multi-hospital system. Gail has a Masters of Science in Nursing from Drexel University, a BS in Health Care Administration, and her RN. Gails experience includes State licensure, AAAHC, and Joint Commission survey preparation for her departments within her facilities and the development of a surgical PI program. Gail has also led newly constructed departments through state licensing surveys.
